The Five Points in Magic
by Juan Tamariz · Hermetic Press
A short book on the performer's physical technique: feet, body, eyes, voice and hands. It shows how posture, gaze and speech direct attention and cover sleights, with card routines as examples. It complements Strong Magic: Ortiz covers effect design, and Tamariz covers the bodily mechanics of misdirection.

Conjuring Archive
A free, searchable index of more than 3,700 magic publications and 190,000 entries. Card sleights are grouped by type (shuffle controls, Zarrow shuffles, false overhand and riffle shuffles, forces), and each entry points to the original published source.
Strong Magic: Creative Showmanship for the Close-Up Magician
A book on close-up presentation that teaches no tricks. It analyzes how effects are built and performed: clarity of effect, conviction, attention control, character, pacing, climax and routining, drawn from Ortiz's professional career.
The Expert at the Card Table
An anonymous 1902 treatise on card manipulation. It covers blind shuffles, cuts and stock-keeping used by card cheats, followed by legerdemain: palms, changes, passes and a small set of card tricks. The public-domain text is available here as a free PDF - the text is public domain because the copyright was never renewed.
Card College, Volume 1: A Complete Course in Sleight-of-Hand Card Magic
The first volume of Giobbi's five-volume course. It covers deck handling, overhand and riffle shuffles, false cuts, controls, forces, the glide, the double lift, the Hindu shuffle, the top change and key-card work, with hundreds of line drawings and routines for each technique. It has the clearest modern teaching: grips, controls, forces and false shuffles. It also includes performance advice.
The Royal Road to Card Magic
A 1948 course in card magic arranged as graded chapters. Each chapter teaches one sleight, such as the overhand shuffle controls, the glide, the double lift, the pass or palming, and then gives complete tricks that use it. It gives the cheapest complete path through the core sleights, with tricks tied to each technique.
