# Storyboarding

Storyboarding is the visual planning of a video or film sequence using a series of illustrations or images. You will understand how to map out narrative structure, plan camera shots, block scenes, and communicate visual concepts to production teams before filming.

## Where to start

Start with Boords, an online storyboarding tool with templates and a free tier, so you can lay out a first sequence of shots straight away. If you only use one resource, make it Directing the Story by Francis Glebas. Then read The Storyboard Artist by Giuseppe Cristiano.
